Ravenstone Wellness offers advanced REMS bone screening using EchoLight technology, providing detailed insight into both bone density and bone quality. This supports early identification of bone health changes linked to osteoporosis risk and long-term fracture prevention.
Unlike many pop-up services, we offer REMS scanning as an established, ongoing clinic-based service, with professional support and personalised follow-up.
ULTRASOUND PAIN RELIEF THERAPY

Our ultrasound-based pain relief sessions are designed to support recovery, comfort and mobility for clients experiencing chronic pain, inflammation and muscular or joint discomfort.Treatments combine targeted ultrasound therapy with infrared and red light support to promote circulation, tissue recovery and overall healing.

No. You do not need a GP referral for a Ravenstone Wellness bone health assessment. You can book directly.
If you have been advised to have a bone density scan, REMS scan or bone health scan by your GP, consultant or another clinician, you are welcome to bring any relevant information with you.
2. How long does a bone health scan appointment take?
The scan itself typically takes around 20-30 minutes.
Most Ravenstone Wellness appointments are booked as a longer Early Insight Assessment, allowing time for clinical discussion, explanation of your results and personalised guidance around your wider bone health and risk factors.

3. Is the REMS bone scan radiation free?
Yes. The REMS scan uses advanced ultrasound technology rather than X rays.
There is no ionising radiation involved, making it suitable for repeat monitoring and ongoing bone health assessment where appropriate.
4. Is this the same as a DEXA scan?
No. A REMS scan is an advanced ultrasound based bone health assessment.
It provides information relating to bone density, bone quality and fracture risk, rather than looking at density alone. It can complement traditional pathways and may help support earlier, more informed decisions about bone health.
